2-10 November 2022

We invite you on a journey of leadership from the heart. This journey will take us inwards through our personal fears and doubts, touching the places we are stuck, but also bringing us in contact with our hidden qualities and power. Through the personal we will touch the collective field of all men, connecting to the pain of the world. By overcoming our own egos we can begin to create a new future, the future of the Leaders of the Heart.

A Story of Men

As men we have always been expected to be the leaders of the family, of the tribe, of the community or country we come from. It is the job of the man to make decisions and lead with bravery and honour. This masculine leadership has become lost and filled with ego, creating war and conflict, hurting both men and women. It has taken our society deeper and deeper into the realms of the mind, losing touch with our hearts, our emotions and with our ability to be vulnerable.

The feminist movement has brought a big change to our culture, often pushing men into the other direction. Many of us have lost our ability to stand our ground, without direction or the ability to be the leaders in our homes, businesses and communities.

Can we reconnect to the mature masculine leadership that we know deep down inside? Can we find a way to be in service, allowing the feminine to take back its place on our planet without losing touch with who we are as men?

Working Alongside the UN Climate Change Conference

Our gathering will be the prelude to the Climate Conference in Sharm el Sheich. Politicians and scientists, lobbyists and activists will bring in their qualities of solving one of the greatest challenges of mankind: the mass extinction of species and the destruction of our planet.
In our gathering we will explore the power of the heart, that voice that seems to be forgotten in our society and within our patriarchal stereotype of masculinity. We will explore a new way of being a man, in relation with and respect to women, to the earth and to the Great Mystery that surrounds all of us.

Open Space

We work with the principles of Open Space. The schedule is based on meeting twice a day in a circle (morning and evening) and we create the rest of the daily program together depending on what’s alive in each moment.

The Open Space principles are:

  1. The people who are there, are the right people
  2. Whatever happens, is the right thing to happen
  3. When it begins, it begins
  4. When it is over, it is over
  5. Follow the Law of Two Feet
  6. Expect the unexpected

Our Team

Ton Van Der Kroon

“All my life I have been touched by a silent call, or if you will call it. A voice from within that encourages me to devote all my time, energy and work to ‘the greater whole’. I call it ‘the way of the heart’. It has taken me to the farthest corners of the world: I have provided trauma care in Gaza; energetic work done in Iran, North Korea, India, Africa and about 30 other countries; I have been guiding men for thirty years to find their own masculinity, strength and vulnerability.”

Eran Markose

“After serving as an officer in the Israeli army, I traveled to India knowing that my life could not be the same as it was before. Ever since I set off on this journey almost 10 years ago, I have been searching for different ways to find happiness, to find my purpose and discover ways to make the world a better place. I wanted to find out how to reach deep physical and emotional well-being and my deepest wish was to connect to the truth of who I am.”

Marcel Nijenhuis

“I am a wanderer, an elder and a boy, a dreamer and architect of heart communities, a traveller with my soul family. In daily life I guide people and companies through changes. In every way I can. Deep listening to the process and nature of things.”

All participants are present from beginning till end. You can only participate for the whole event. The conference starts with dinner and the opening ceremony on the first night, and ends on the last morning with a closing ceremony.

  1. As for the context and content of this week, personal healing, no children –nor animals –are allowed.
  2. No drugs of any sort are permitted, and we like you to limit alcohol, coffee and meat.
  3. Your participation is at your own responsibility. Of course we will do anything possible to make your stay as safe and comfortable as possible, but we can’t take any responsability for your safety, nor for your emotional, physical or financial well being.
  4. Make sure you have a valid passport and travel insurance.
  5. We are guests in another country, another culture and maybe for some of us another religion. Please respect the local customs, rules, dresscode and formalities.
  6. Note that the main language spoken on the conference will be in English.
  7. We will be using Open Space, a way to give space to that what wants to reveal itself and to connect to that what resonates inside of you. Open Space gives the possibility to expect the unexpected, out of your own inspiration, out of the group, out of the moment. It is a sometimes discomforting method but one that can reveal magic beyond our imagination – or so we discovered.
  8. The main intention of our work is personal healing and growth. So the fuller you personally engage in the process, the more it might bring to you. We encourage your preparation and devotion to this work by tuning in the months and weeks before, by asking a few questions to yourself: what is my intention? What do I want to achieve? What is my pitfall or my shadow? How can I prepare myself?
